
We all know that show attendees don’t have a lot of time and, when you finally get one to stop at your stand, you know that you only have a couple of minutes to make your pitch and gather details before they go scurrying off again.
Filling in paper forms is a time consuming process that can eat into the time you need to engage properly with them. This why there is a growing trend towards electronic information gathering and with the iPhone and iPad now becoming regular accessories on the show floor, a new app called Gather, has been getting some attention.
Showcased at the exclusive, annual Pebble Beach Automotive Week and Concours d’Elegance, Gather was running on iPads, and allowed the exhibitors to quickly capture visitor details, confirm and take signatures for test drive appointments and then process the information for timely follow ups.
