Good Manners Can Improve Your Show

conmanThere’s a saying, ‘Good manners cost nothing but are worth their weight in gold’, something smart businesses apply to exhibiting at shows.

You can spend all the money you like on a great big, fancy exhibit but that doesn’t guarantee a good show. In fact, poorly trained personnel and a certain amount of disrespect at a show can cost your business more than you know, from lost business to a damaged reputation. However, exercising some good manners at exhibition shows can pay.

According to industry body, the Trade Show Exhibitors Association (TSEA), here are some Etiquette Essentials that every company with a show stand should adhere too.

Brighter Outlook For Global Exhibition Industry

busy showThis summer the fifth Barometer Survey was carried out by UFI, the global association of the exhibition industry and thankfully, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

The survey of hundreds of UFI members across 83 countries on six continents found that the turnover drop-off experienced since the start of the global economic crisis has ‘bottomed out’.

Many of those members admitted that although they are still suffering, they predict an increase in turnover for 2010

There are significant regional differences though. Almost one respondent out of two in the Americas expect their 2010 annual profit to increase by more than 10% compared to 2009.

Apple iPad Captures Trade Show Leads

For many, Apple’s iPad is mostly for fun but for Californian company NewLeads, the iPad is the “perfect tool” for capturing trade show leads from those people visiting your stand.

For any trade show attendee, getting good sales leads is the name of the game. The company is already a leading supplier of sales lead acquisition devices for trade shows but says the iPad is perfect for capturing sales lead information and wirelessly transmitting it to a server.

Those leads can then be sent by the server to a worldwide sales channel while simultaneously updating show reports.  Both the lead information and the reports can then be viewed on any computer or handheld PDA “within seconds”.
